US Marshal and immigrant shot during ICE operation in South LA; DHS issues statement condemning 'sanctuary politicians'
A federal operation in South Los Angeles turned violent Tuesday when a US Marshal and an undocumented immigrant, who had previously escaped custody, were shot. The suspect allegedly rammed federal vehicles in an attempt to flee, prompting law enforcement to fire defensive shots. Both individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries and are hospitalized.
