UN investigators urge Canada to step up protection for threatened Sikh activist
Five UN rapporteurs have written to the government of Canada calling on it to do more to protect Sikh activist Moninder Singh, who has received four “duty to warn” letters for his activism in favour of a separate Sikh homeland. The UN experts say Singh may have been targeted for speaking to the world body, and ask for the Canadian government to respond.
