Amid Trump trade war, Canada's exports to China up 30% in first half of 2026

The Canada-China Business Council and the University of Alberta’s China Institute have crunched the trade data between Canada and China for the first half of 2026, and it shows Canadian exports to China rose by 30.1 per cent to $21.74 billion, while imports from China declined by 5.8 per cent to $44.86 billion.
