Maharashtra doctor suicide case: Policeman arrested; accused of rape and abetment

Police have arrested sub-inspector Gopal Badane, the second accused in the suicide case of a woman doctor from Satara, Maharashtra. This arrest follows closely on the heels of the apprehension of Prashant Bankar, the landlord’s son and a co-accused. Bankar has been remanded to four days of police custody.
