Government canvasses Pacific leaders on backdown option for COP31

The federal government has begun to contact Pacific leaders to canvass a COP31 “Plan B” which would see Adelaide abandon its bid for the global United Nations climate summit so long as Pacific nations are guaranteed a role in next year’s conference.
