WhatsApp ordered to enforce ‘SIM binding,’ log out web sessions every 6 hours

In its first significant foray into regulating messaging platforms, the Department of Telecommunications ordered WhatsApp and other apps like it to make sure their services only worked if a user’s registered SIM was physically in the device.
