Kugaaruk, Nunavut, declares state of emergency over failure at water treatment plant
In a news release Sunday, the Nunavut Emergency Management (NEM) said the hamlet declared a local state of emergency after sea water infiltrated the water treatment plant leaving the community without a reliable source of potable water.
