September’s antigraft protests in Nepal unleashed a financial storm, resulting in losses surpassing $586 million and culminating in the resignation of PM KP Sharma Oli. With Sushila Karki now at the helm of an interim government, estimates for the necessary reconstruction are over $252 million.
