From rushing trains to crowd control, how Railways is managing Chhath rush


Indian Railways is deploying advanced heat-mapping technology at 35 major stations to manage the massive Chhath festival rush. Nearly 13,000 special trains, double last year’s number, are being deployed to transport over 2.5 crore passengers, primarily to Bihar. Standby trains and holding areas are also being utilized to ensure smooth passenger flow.
