US kills 'terrorist' operative linked to deadly IS ambush of three Americans in Syria

CENTCOM says it conducted a strike in north-west Syria that resulted in the death of an Al Qaeda operative linked to the ISIS gunman responsible for killing two US soldiers and a US civilian in Syria on December 13.
