Canadian peacekeepers' cemetery in Gaza completely destroyed, satellite imagery shows
Satellite photos and video analyzed by CBC’s visual investigations team reveals the total destruction of a part of the Gaza War Cemetery that holds the remains of 22 Canadian Forces peacekeepers, including the use of high-powered explosives and heavy earthmoving equipment. Now siblings of the soldiers who were buried in Gaza in the 1960s say that their loved ones’ remains — if they can still be recovered — should be brought home for burial in Canada.
