Guelph creating 3D digital map of street trees to help grow urban canopy
Mobile LiDAR-equipped trucks have been scanning streets in Guelph to create a detailed 3D “digital twin” of urban trees and public infrastructure. The data will help the city identify planting opportunities and improve long-term planning.
