Jesse Jackson, U.S. civil rights activist, dead at 84
Jesse Jackson, the Martin Luther King protege whose two bids for the U.S. presidency highlighted a lifelong fight for social and economic justice for all Americans, has died at age 84, his family said in a statement on Tuesday.
